Mainly This file is no need for you if you are able to go through all the blogs of website: https://www.germanprobashe.com/
(Important: Do not try to find contact with anyone who is in relating to this file. Applying to Germany as a student is possible by your, own self. At first I also didn’t know anything about it what to do! Where to go! I learned all from the Facebook Group Bangladesh Student and Alumni Association Germany (BSAAG))
What can be the outcome if you try to find out or contact someone personally you can see by your-self from this post :- ( https://www.germanprobashe.com/archives/4467 ) For any questing and Queries just post it in BSAAG Facebook group.
To start Applying for Germany following steps are necessary.
Step 1 :
(আপনার পছন্দের Course টা খোঁঁজ করা) Search for the desire course and degree you want to do in Germany .
Go through with this: https://www.germanprobashe.com/archives/161
Some Websites to search courses:
- http://www.tu9.de/en/
Note: To choose a course be careful about the Course language(s), Tuition fee and requirement of the course. Without any study about the selected course don’t just apply because to apply some time u have to pay fees if u r Appling via uni-assist .
Step 2 :
(যদি আপনার পছন্দের কোর্স কোর্স এ Uni asisst এর মাধ্যম এপলাই করতে হয়ে থাক. তা হলে প্রথমে আপনাকে uni assist এ রেজিস্ট্রেশন করতে হবে ) If the course you applied need to use uni-assist. Do the Registration in uni assist
Link: https://www.uni-assist.de/online/
And to learn more about uni- assist go through this http://www.uni-assist.de/index_en.html
And https://www.germanprobashe.com/archives/category/study-in-germany/uni-assist
Step 3:
Uni asisst এর মাধ্যম এপলাই করার ধাপসমূহ – how to use uni assist see this Link:
https://www.germanprobashe.com/archives/10263
to see one example watch this link : https://www.germanprobashe.com/archives/13420
FYI: Uni assist takes 75 euro for the 1st time application in any university via them and the fees for each additional application to a further university within the same semester are 15 EUR. German use (,) instead of (.) like they write euro 75.00 as 75,00 don’t panic seeing (75,00) it means (75.00)
Step 4:
If you have already applied via uni assist now what you need to do sent the required documents to uni assist so that they can evaluate you documents and forward your application to your applied university. (note: the required documents u need to check from the university website you applied) also you can this link for the documents uni-assist ask to send to them http://www.uni-assist.de/application-documents.html
Documents uni assist ask for any university wants need to be attested or notarized, now its easy.
It’s for free if u do attestation from German embassy. It’s better to make the attestation of 5 sets all together as you can’t do this attestation constantly from embassy. It will take 7 days time to do the attestation process from embassy.
Follow this link https://www.germanprobashe.com/archives/11041
Also this http://www.dhaka.diplo.de/Vertretung/dhaka/en/02/Attestation.html
Sample of documents need to take for embassy attestation
5 printed page like this of each universty you find which need the attastation document.
A fill-up Attestation Form like this.
Sample Website: https://www.hs-koblenz.de/rac/international-programs/international-students/degree-seeking-students/application-documents/
Step 5:
এবার আশা যাকঃ ডকুমেন্টস সেন্ড করার উপায় নিয়ে – If you are done with the attestation now the work is to send the documents and payments to uni-assist address. A wise decision is to pay the fees of uni assist 1st and then send the documents with the payment slip to uni assist.
Payment procedure:
-
- Best way is to find someone of your known who is in Germany and convince him to transfer the fees to uni-assist via using his own account with your uni-assist references . Convince him like u deposit the amount in his BD local bank account 1st then when he finds that you already sent to money to his account, he can transfer the amount to uni-assist using your reference code.
- (important: payment reference is an import factor here be alert on this one)
You can know more from here: http://www.uni-assist.de/methods-payment.html
- Payment using the DBBL virtual credit card; check this: https://www.germanprobashe.com/archives/5825
- Payment via opening student file : ( I heard EBL do this work very well)
Sending the required document to uni assist: Here what you have to do just courier your documents. Be aware about the each university Application forms. You need to send separate Application form for separate universities
When you are sending documents to uni-assist try to find some others who are willing to do the same. From the facebook group BSAAG. It will minimize the cost of courier if you sent the documents together and no problem occurs as far as I know. (its you own wish)
Like for DHL it costs 2400 if 2 person sending the doc. Together (2400/2= 1200 each) J
Check this for more info: https://www.germanprobashe.com/archives/7051
Step 6:
ডকুমেন্টস সেন্ড এবং uni-assist ফী পে করা হয় গালে কি করতে হবে (অপেক্ষা র পালা ঘুনতে হবে) Waiting for the reply when uni-assist receives you documents, payments, done with the evaluation of you documents and forwarding your application to the respective university.
For each of those activities uni assist going to give you emails gradually. You have to keep your patience and updated with the group BSAAG. If you find any problem when processing those task don’t hesitate to post in the group. There are so many brothers and sisters you will find who can help you via their Valuable comments.
Step 7:
অনেক দিন হয়ে গেল ইউনিভার্সিটি থেকে কোনো রিপ্লায় পাচ্ছি না What to do when there is no reply from the university after uni- assist forwarded your application to the respective university. Usually, university doesn’t give any reply or offer before the application deadline is finished so u have to wait or what you can do find the university contact from the university website and email them personally using your uni-assist reference number of course. You have to search for the respective course instructor or administrator. (don’t just email to anyone of that university) you can find it from the DAAD website course list also! Use your brain.
If your university gives u the offer to get enrolled or to proceed with some instruction please start following them. (if you didn’t get an offer from university, I feel sorry for you )
In my case: I applied to the HTW Berlin, Masters in International Business. They wanted to me to complete the enrollment process via giving their own online portal ID, password through email (Note: not the uni assist portal; university own portal). When I finished my online enrollment, they also asked me to pay the semester fee (not tuition fee cz there was no tuition fee in my course) and sent some documents to them which they need to complete my enrollment. Below are the images:
Semester Fee: You actually have to pay this semester fee to make you enrollment. I don’t know about all the university in Germany but in HTW you have to pay it before u reach Germany. And the best way to know your situation or to know what to do. Just write an email to your university respective course contact or try to find someone of that university from BSAAG group. Or simply just call them on there working hour via phone. It will cost 6-8 tk per minute.
Semester Fee details: Enrollment documents details:
They asked me to send this 4 copy of file along with the semester fee. I was very confused about the number 2 and 3 how can I make health insurance coverage in Germany before reaching there. So I called them directly and asked for the necessary steps I can to take. They simply asked to me write an email to them for health insurance issue and have a copy of that when they reply to me. And they actually consider this health insurance issue for international student. But you have to make sure about it from your own university via email or phone or any communication. And the residence permit u can submit after you reach Germany. Actually, if you feel any of those issues about the enrollment try to communicate with the university contact or post it to BSAAG for suggestions.
Now comes the other documents from the enrollment list need to send are Passport copy, birth certificate, IELTS and a signed enrollment letter. What I did simply was found a student of HTW and asked him to do me a favor, I send all the scanned requested documents for enrollment to that student, and asked him to just submit it to the admission office of HTW. Thanks to him for that!
Step 8:
(ডাচ ব্যাঙ্ক এ ব্লক একাউন্ট খোলা এন্ড ওই একাউন্ট এ মানি ট্রান্সফার করা.)Opening a Block account and money transfer. If u gets the offer from any university don’t wait for a moment just start the process of Deutsche Bank account open.
To know how to open it check this: https://www.germanprobashe.com/archives/12899
To open a Deutsche account you have to do the attestation process from German embassy Dhaka. Check this http://www.dhaka.diplo.de/Vertretung/dhaka/en/02/Sperrkonto.html
For account statement: what I did, just open a new savings account in EBL on my name then deposited the required money (BDT) in my savings account. Took the bank statement next day then went to the German embassy for attestation.
(Very Import: Make sure in your passport data page photocopy signature is fully visible and clear to understand if it’s not then try to use the very good scanning and use the Burn tool of Adobe Photoshop at the portion of your signature to make it more visible; sorry to say L if your data and documents are not correct to DB bank. They will not open your account and actually you to do the same process again so be careful at the 1st time.)
Cost: it will cost 20 Euro approximately 1800 BDT for attestation of DB Bank form [no alternatives] ( you have to pay it when you reach at German embassy Dhaka for Blocked Account attestation)
For a completed Deutsche Bank account opening form, check the attachment at the last (this is the updated new form of 2016) in my case I get the account opening reply from DB bank within just 4 working days of Germany. Sometimes it takes 30 days even.
If DB account is opened. Work need to do is; Money transfer to your given account details from DB bank: again EBL does a good job with it I just go to them with my DB bank account opening details which were sent to me via email. They did the required procedure and sent the euro to my account. It actually took one German working day to receive the confirmation of you transferred amount.
Step 9:
(কি ভাবে এম্বেসী অপ্পইন্টমেন্টস ডেট ঠিক করবেন)If you are a good planner then plan you dates wisely and take the appointment date from Germany embassy online ASAP. Dates are not open always so if you are in short of time book the date before you get all the documents in hand by mapping you time.
(For example, My class starts form April 1 so I need to have my appointment at 8weeks prior to April 1 which is Feb 1. German embassy takes 5-8 weeks to give the visa decision. But I didn’t have that much of time in my hand because my university HTW Berlin sent me the offer letter on January 23. So I was in a bit of panic what to do! Then I tried to plan it all. So I immediately started to do my work with DB acct open and all, in the meanwhile, I book my visa appointment. Such as in Feb 1 I go for the DB bank form attestation. Then when its done I took the appointment date with time gap of 22days for February 22. Usually, the work of DB account opening and transfer can be done within 22 days( if not then is a bad luck). The rest Allah knows best J )
Checklist for the visa applications are: http://www.dhaka.diplo.de/contentblob/4989256/Daten/7335136/2017ChecklistStudent.pdf
For health insurance check this: https://www.germanprobashe.com/archives/6403
(30 days of travel health insurance was enough in my case it took 2400 BDT)
Step 10:
(ভিসা ইন্টারভিউ) Visa interview J All you need is to be Confident and to show confidence (not overconfidence). I think the embassy just take the interview to know about yourself and to find are you a genuine student or not.
Visa experience of mine:
I was a business student. University: HTW Berlin, Masters in International Business. I had to wait a long at the embassy for my call. My interview time was 11.00am. I entered the embassy at 10.30 they usually don’t allow to enter before 30 min time of interview. I sat for almost 2 hours. My name was called from the counter 1. There was a young lady age like 25-30! I don’t know.
Requited documents:
- Passport
- Two filled up embassy application form.
- Three color photo as its required for embassy rules
- Admission letter of the German university ( only the admission confirmation page and enrollment date page; no other page of admission letter) – original + 2 sets
- Blocked account confirmation page – original + 2 sets
- Travel Health insurance – original + 2 sets
- S.C certificates and mark-sheets – original + 2 sets
- Bachelor certificates and transcripts ( I additionally added my award certificate which is not needed) – original + 2 sets
- Copy of passport data page – 2sets
- The invoice of semester fee payment (This was additions the VO asked me to submit it) – 2 set
- For one of my friend they also asked for the slip of DB back form attestation which was given at the time of DB bank form attestation (1800 BDT Invoice) – 2 set
Interview conversation:
Me: May I come I mam!
VO: Yes! Please. (She was looking at my files)
VO: So, you are a business student.
Me: Yes, Mam.
VO: Tell me about your course in details.
Me: Described the course name, module, semesters and duration.
VO: how many semester do you have and how many credits?
Me: Answered. (When you are answering to them try answering it boldly. Don’t hesitate with anything do your homework very carefully)
VO: She was looking at my bachelor’s transcript…..(taking some time, I was standing silently) and look at me then again looked at my transcript and asked. What did you learn in micro economics?
Me: Answered ( you can make your own answer using Google) but try not to say more max 4 line if VO is not satisfied then you can say more.
VO: Can you say more about micro and macroeconomics and differentiate among them?
Me: Answered. (its better try to give examples when they are asking this kind of question.)
VO: what is Global finance?
Me: Answered (Jodi kishu na paren mhuk chalata thakben tara mone hoy na business r kishu, tamon balo jane! (at your own risk))
VO: can you say about operation management?
Me: Answered.
Then she gave me the pay slip to pay the embassy fee then again come back to submit the embassy copy of pay slip.
When I came back she took the embassy copy and did some entries in her computer. And said me you can go.!!! But I was wondering how could it go that good !! is there something I missed then I found a small machine with green light and I remembered ohh!! She didn’t took me fingerprint. I looked at her and asked. Mam don’t I have to give any fingerprints, She surprisingly said didn’t I took yours ! let me check. Then she thanked me and took my fingerprint. And that was all. J
My suggestion for interview: In your interview day take the backup of all the documents you have gone through with this whole process. You never know when they ask for which one!! No worry if you don’t have any documents with you, they will ask to you submit it later or email it later but if you already have it with you they will understand your capability also (I think). My suggestion is to memories your own bachelors transcript. 😀 and download all the 1st chapter of your every bachelors course and learn it again. We all know we forget everything we studied!!!
Step 11:
Being thankful to the BSAAG Group and germanprobashe.com. and in the waiting period try to make something useful for them also. And obviously the devastating waiting period….. again
